"Bob" Young 2/21/42 - 4/24/04 Patrick Robert "Bob" Young, 62, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, April 24, 2004 at University Hospital in San Antonio. He was born in San Antonio on February 21, 1942, the son of James Andrew Young and Artie Belle Blythe Young. He spent his childhood and the majority of his adult life in San Antonio. He was a 1960 graduate of Marshall High School. He enjoyed a long and varied career in professional sales. He embraced his Scottish heritage and was an active member of Clan Young. God blessed Bob with many gifts, most notably a charming and endearing personality that won him friends wherever he traveled. He never knew a stranger and those who met him could not help but like him. His warmth and friendliness filled a room. He laughed easily and his deep, melodic voice seemed always to have a smile in it. His love of family was central to his life. He is survived by his partner in life and love, Anna Louise Latham of San Antonio; his son, Andrew Cleburne Young and his wife, Laine Elisabeth Young, of Austin; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Brianne Young of Austin. Also surviving is a brother, Jimmy Ray Young, and his wife, Pauline Taylor Young, of Pipe Creek, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
